Field Hydrology Training

The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) Water Science Bureau is hosting a full-day, hands-on field hydrology training. Participants will learn about a variety of hydrologic field applications, including surface and groundwater measurement techniques, and will gain an understanding of irrigation practices common throughout Montana.
Training Topics Include
- Irrigation Techniques
- Groundwater Monitoring and Measurements
- Surface Water Measurements, including:
- Flumes and Weirs
- Stream Gages and Rating Curves
- FlowTrackers and Flow Meters
- Unique Situations and Other Methods

- Open to all. This workshop is ideal for someone interested in gaining exposure to water measurement techniques and field hydrology.
