The Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) is inviting ranchers and agriculture industry professionals to register for the 142nd MidYear Meeting. The event is slated for May 27–29, 2026, in Great Falls at the Mansfield Convention Center in the Great Falls Civic Center. This year’s program includes presentations from industry leaders, policy discussions, and networking opportunities with live music and dancing.
The MidYear Meeting is one of two meetings held by MSGA to set policy that guides the Association throughout the year. While the main focus of the meeting is for the setting of interim policy, the meeting is also used as a networking opportunity for MSGA members and Montana’s livestock industry.
Professional saddle bronc rider, entrepreneur, and actor Dougie Hall will headline the meeting, kicking off the event at the Opening General Session. Hall will share a powerful message rooted in faith, perseverance, and personal responsibility. Also featured during the Opening General Session is Skye Krebs, who will provide an update on national policy priorities and initiatives impacting cattle producers through the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in Coffee Talk sessions, including a special presentation from Sarah Adcock of the C.M. Russell Museum. Adcock will share the stories behind some of Charles M. Russell’s most iconic works, including Waiting on a Chinook, a piece owned by MSGA, highlighting the deep connection between Western art and Montana’s ranching heritage.
The meeting will conclude with a Closing General Session featuring meteorologist Brian Bledsoe, who will present a seasonal weather outlook for the summer and beyond, and Darrin Boss of Montana State University, who will provide updates on current research and initiatives impacting Montana’s agricultural industry.
The Montana Stockgrowers Foundation (MSF) will host their annual fundraiser, the Sunset Banquet, on Thursday, May 28 at the Newberry in Great Falls. The Sunset Banquet brings together livestock industry professionals and the local community for a night of entertainment and fundraising to support MSF’s mission of investing in Montana’s ranching communities through education, leadership, and conservation.
Sunset Banquet tickets are available to the public and can be purchased with a MidYear Meeting registration or separately through the online registration platform.
