MSGA Crowns 2023 Top Hand Prize Winners; Launches 2024 Program

HELENA, Mont. (December 20, 2023) – The Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) is pleased to officially launch the start of the 2024 Top Hand Program and announce the winners of the 2023 program. The Top Hand Program is MSGA’s member recruitment program that recognizes outstanding members within the association who have shown commitment in building a stronger organization.

2024 Top Hand Program

The 2024 Top Hand Club program started October 1, 2023, and goes until September 30, 2024. MSGA members have until September 30, 2024, to recruit new members to earn their spot in this exciting club and get entered into the chance to win! The 2024 program winners will be announced at the 2024 Annual Convention and Trade Show in December. 

2023 Top Hand Program Winners

Launched during the 2023 membership year, any MSGA members who recruited a new MSGA member at any membership level between the dates of October 1, 2022 – September 30, 2023, were added to the 2023 Top Hand Club. This year, 27 MSGA members were determined to be Top Hand Club Members. 

Two grand prizes and one individual top hand prize were awarded at MSGA’s 2023 Annual Convention and Trade Show. 

To be entered in the grand prize drawing, MSGA members were given one entry for every new member recruited in the 2023 membership year. The grand prizes included a one-year Wilson Trailer lease, sponsored by KR Rauch Company and Wilson Trailers, and a registration package to the 2024 Cattle Industry Convention and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) Trade Show, sponsored by Prewitt and Company. The winners of the grand prizes were: 

  • Wilson Trailer Lease: Rick VanDyken, Toston
  • NCBA Convention Registration: Robin Markuson, Ekalaka 

The Top Individual prize was awarded to the member who recruited the most new members in the 2023 membership year. Sponsored by the Dynneson Ranch Inc, the Top Individual was awarded a custom Henry Lever-Action rifle. The winner of the Top Individual was MSGA member, Race King from the Matador Ranch out of Dillon, Mont.
