Young Cattlemen's Conference

The Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Young Cattlemen’s Conference (YCC). This national leadership and advocacy program will be held May 28 through June 4, 2026. Applications must be submitted by March 15, 2026.

The Young Cattlemen’s Conference is designed for cattle producers ages 25 to 50 who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the beef industry and strengthening their leadership skills. Coordinated by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), the conference brings together young cattlemen and cattlewomen from across the country for an in-depth look at all segments of the beef supply chain.

Throughout the week-long program, participants will travel alongside peers from other states, visiting key industry operations and engaging directly with leaders who shape the future of beef production. The conference also includes a day on Capitol Hill, where attendees will meet with members of Montana’s congressional delegation to discuss policy issues impacting cattle producers and advocate on behalf of the industry.

MSGA will select up to two individuals to represent Montana at the 2026 Young Cattlemen’s Conference. Selected participants will receive financial support covering the cost of program registration, as well as a $500 travel stipend. This support is provided through MSGA’s Young Stockgrowers and the Montana Stockgrowers Foundation (MSF). Applicants must be members of both the Montana Stockgrowers Association and the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association to be eligible.
