The Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its 142nd Annual Convention & Trade Show, taking place December 3–5, 2026, in Billings, Montana. The annual event brings together Montana cattle ranchers, agriculture industry leaders, and partners from across the state for three days of policy, education and networking.

“Annual Convention provides an important opportunity for our members to engage in grassroots policy, hear from industry leaders, connect with fellow producers, and look ahead to the issues and opportunities facing Montana’s cattle industry,” said Lesley Robinson, MSGA President.

The 2026 Annual Convention & Trade Show will feature a lineup of speakers covering topics important to Montana’s livestock producers. Brian Bledsoe will provide a weather outlook during the Opening General Session, Greg Brandhorst of Commodity & Ingredient Hedging (CIH) will discuss how ranchers can manage profit margins more effectively during the Northern Ag Network Best of Beef Lunch, and Kent Bacus, NCBA Executive Director of Government Affairs, will address government affairs and trade during Presidents Lunch.

Before committee meetings begin on December 3, MSGA will host a Water Symposium to provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about water administration, rights, and current issues impacting Montana’s ranching community ahead of the association’s committee meetings. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and those interested can register to participate in this event outside of the full convention registration.

During committee meetings, MSGA members will gather to help shape the association’s grassroots policy. The convention will also feature networking and educational opportunities through Stockgrowers Colleges, the trade show, and events like the Kick-Off Social and Young Stockgrowers Meeting.

The convention will conclude with the Grand Finale Banquet and After Party, featuring a steak dinner, prizes, and drawings to celebrate the final day of the convention. Following the banquet, attendees can enjoy live music and dancing from Exit 53.

MSGA’s Annual Convention and Trade Show is an opportunity for Montana’s livestock industry to come together to engage in policy, education, and meaningful conversations about the future of the cattle industry. Early bird registration is available through November 27, 2026.
