Cowboy hats and golf clubs teamed up to support the Montana Stockgrowers Foundation at the 12th Annual TBone Gala and Golf Classic. The event was held at the Briarwood Country Club in Billings on August 24-25th.
The tournament included 36 teams, and more than $40,000 was raised through the event, sponsorships, and auction, which will benefit Foundation programs. While the T-Bone Classic Golf Tournament is a way to raise funds for the Montana Stockgrowers Foundation, the event also serves another purpose. It’s a way for ranchers, businesses, and supporters of the association to come together to show their appreciation for one another.

The TBone Classic provides the opportunity to network in the atmosphere of a gala dinner event and friendly golf tournament at one of the best locations in Big Sky Country.”

Events at the TBone Classic included a fundraiser gala dinner and auction where TBone steaks provided by Open Prairie Natural Angus were enjoyed by dinner guests. The auction was a huge success, as 25 tons of grass/alfalfa hay was donated by major tournament sponsor, The Producer Partnership. A half beef, cut and delivered, was donated by trustee Wayne Slaght. Holden Herefords and 100 Proof Distro each contributed baskets for the auction. The Calcutta auction raised just over $24,000!
Starting early Thursday morning, attendees participated in a friendly round of golf followed by an awards social with the announcement of the winning teams. First place in the Calcutta went to PEDE & Associates, comprised of Pat Davis, Jennifer Davis, Greg Seitz and Doug Van Dyken, second place went to Basin Angus/Berg Livestock, third place went to The Producer Partnership. In first place for the tournament winning team went to Western Ranch Supply, second place, Whitetail Properties and third place was the Sean O’Daniel team.
