Hometown: Miles City
Elected: 2024
Industry Involvement: Vikki Taylor serves as President of the Montana CattleWomen. Taylor Cattle LLC is a small family ranch owned and operated in Miles City by my husband Gary, our son Maverick and myself. We raise mostly Red Angus with a few Corriente cross cows to add a little fun color to the herd. Gary and I have been ranching together for 40 plus years, raising 3 kids and watched two granddaughters grow up with the agricultural life style. I’ve been tagged the “Bottle Boss” for all of the bottle calves and lambs I’ve raised over the years. Guess that makes me the Chief cook & bottle washer as well as the bring-up-the-rear, fire stomper of the organization.
Leadership Service: I currently am the President of our local CowTown CattleWomen as well as the President of Montana CattleWomen. Also, a member of American National CattleWomen, having represented Region V on the Ways & Means and Membership committees. We are members of Montana Stockgrowers.
Challenges Facing the Beef Industry: In my opinion I believe that those of us in agriculture/beef industry are going to face further issues with water & land shortages as well as animal rights organizations. We as an industry really need to speak up, educating the misinformed & uneducated public regarding our industry and way of life. We need to bridge the gap between producer and consumer.
