Montana Stockgrowers Foundation Offers $10,000 in Scholarships for College Students

HELENA, Mont. (March 30, 2022)Montana Stockgrowers Foundation (MSF) is offering one $5,000 scholarship and two $2,500 scholarships for their annual Educational Heritage Scholarship. 

Each year, MSF awards college students, who are seeking a career beneficial to ranching, with a scholarship. In 2021, the MSF board of trustees voted to increase the amount of scholarships given from one to three. The trustees also increase the dollars given to benefit more students in more impactful ways. 

To be eligible applicants must be currently enrolled in college and have completed at least one semester in college, be a member, or have at least one parent/guardian who is a member, of the Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA), and demonstrate a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants enrolled in Vocational and out of state schools will be accepted.

Applicants must complete the application form, include a copy of their current transcript, write a 500-word essay discussing their educational pursuits, potential impact of their chosen field and why the applicant feels they are deserving of the scholarship funds, and include two letters of recommendation.
