The Montana Public Lands Council (MPLC) conducted its annual meeting virtually on December 8. The meeting brought together industry leaders to hear from officials from the Montana Department of Livestock, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), U.S. Forest Service, and the National Public Lands Council.
“As this year comes to an end, we have many things to celebrate from a public lands perspective,” said Raylee Honeycutt, executive staff of the MPLC. “We have seen incredible advancements and changes to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA and Endangered Species Act (ESA). This coming year, we look forward to building on our successes and continuing to be a part of the policy making process.”
The MPLC membership held its election for the upcoming year. Heath Martinell of Dell was elected to a three-year term representing the western district. Vicki Olson of Malta will also continue to serve as chair and Craig Iverson of Winnett was selected as vice chair.
