HELENA, Mont. (July 1, 2024) – The Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) is now accepting internship applications for its 2024 Annual Convention, scheduled for December 4-6, 2024, in Billings, Montana. The program offers students a hands-on opportunity to explore association event planning, execution, policy development, and social media engagement. Multiple internship positions are available for the event, providing valuable experience across these diverse areas.
“This marks our third year hosting convention interns. We’ve been fortunate to work with exceptional students in the past, and we’re enthusiastic about extending this opportunity to students again this year,” shared Raylee Honeycutt, MSGA Executive Vice President.
MSGA’s Annual Convention and Trade Show, one of two annual meetings, convenes MSGA members in Billings, Montana, to establish association policies and offer member education. This event features Montana’s largest ranching industry trade show, stockgrowers colleges, policy sessions, keynote speakers, and exceptional networking opportunities.
Successful applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA
- Applicants should be an undergraduate college student at a sophomore, junior, or senior level at the time of application submission
- An agricultural, public policy, or event management degree program is preferred but not required
- Applicants should possess excellent communication skills with a strong work ethic
- Applicants should be US residents
- Applicants must be available to work the entire length of the Montana Stockgrowers Association Annual Convention and Trade Show
Interns will receive lodging during the duration of the internship and a stipend to assist with travel. Applicants will be accepted from July 1, 2024, through September 15, 2024.
