MSGA Selects Top Collegiate Students for Inaugural Annual Convention Internship Program

The Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) is pleased to announce the selection of Cheyenne Leah, Hannah Pearson, and Ella Waterhouse to serve as interns for MSGA’s inaugural Annual Convention & Trade Show Internship Program. The program was created to provide students with a hands-on experience of the various facets of association event planning and execution, policy development, social media engagement and coverage.

Cheyenne Leach

Cheyenne Leach will serve in the Policy position and is a junior at Oklahoma State University studying agricultural communications and animal science. She serves on the executive board of Collegiate American Farmers and Ranchers (CAFR), as well as the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT). Cheyenne is  also a member of the Oklahoma Collegiate Cattlewomen’s Association and Collegiate Farm Bureau.

Hannah Pearson

Hannah Pearson will serve in the Communications and Media Relations position and is a senior at Texas Tech University studying agricultural communications. Hannah’s roots in the agricultural industry started at her family’s ranch outside of Oconto, Nebraska. She has served on the junior board of the Junior Hereford Association on the state and national level. She was also a member of the 2021 National Champion Meats Judging Team, 2022 Reserve National Champion Meat Animal Evaluation Team, and 2022 Livestock Judging Team at Texas Tech University. 

Ella Waterhouse

Ella Waterhouse will serve in the General Production position and is a sophomore at Montana State University studying agricultural business and agricultural communications. Ella grew up in Northern California where she raised quality show cattle. She plans to pursue a career in agricultural policy where she can educate the public, advocate for farmers and ranchers and bridge the gap between producers and consumers. 

MSGA’s 138th Annual Convention & Trade Show is slated for December 7-9, 2022 in Billings, Montana. The event will provide education, information, fellowship, and an opportunity for the beef industry & MSGA members to set policy that will shape the landscape of cattle ranching in Montana.
